1. Custom Furniture Policy

At Saferetailermal, we create custom furniture pieces specifically designed and built to your specifications. Due to the bespoke nature of our products, all sales are final once production begins. Each piece is made to order based on your unique requirements, dimensions, and design preferences.

We encourage all clients to carefully review design proposals, material samples, and specifications before approving production. Our team is available to answer questions and address concerns throughout the design phase.

2. Quality Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and materials. Every piece undergoes rigorous quality inspection before delivery. If you receive furniture with manufacturing defects or damage that occurred during production, we will repair or replace the item at no additional cost.

Manufacturing defects include issues such as structural failures, finish defects, hardware malfunctions, or deviations from approved specifications that affect functionality or appearance.

3. Delivery Inspection

Upon delivery, we strongly recommend that you inspect your furniture thoroughly in the presence of our delivery team. Check for any visible damage, defects, or discrepancies from your approved design. If you notice any issues, please document them immediately and inform our delivery team.

Claims for delivery damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. After this period, we cannot accept responsibility for damage that may have occurred during or after delivery.

4. Warranty Coverage

4.1 Structural Warranty

We provide a lifetime structural warranty on all custom furniture pieces. This warranty covers defects in joinery, frame construction, and structural components under normal residential use. If structural failure occurs due to manufacturing defects, we will repair or replace the affected components.

4.2 Finish Warranty

Finishes are warranted against defects in application for a period of two years from the date of delivery. This includes issues such as peeling, bubbling, or premature wear under normal use and proper maintenance.

4.3 Hardware Warranty

Hardware components including hinges, drawer slides, and handles are warranted for five years from the date of delivery. We will replace defective hardware at no charge during this period.

5. Warranty Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover damage or deterioration resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Improper care, cleaning, or maintenance
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight
  • Accidents, misuse, or abuse
  • Modifications or repairs performed by unauthorized parties
  • Commercial or institutional use
  • Natural characteristics of wood including color variation, grain patterns, and minor movement

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 Before Production

You may cancel your order before production begins. If you cancel after the design phase but before materials are ordered or production starts, you will forfeit your design deposit. The design deposit covers the time and expertise invested in creating your custom design.

6.2 During Production

Once production has begun, orders cannot be cancelled. At this stage, materials have been purchased and cut to your specifications, and craftsmen have invested significant time in your piece. You will be responsible for the full payment as outlined in your project agreement.

6.3 Design Changes

Minor design changes may be possible during early production stages, subject to additional fees. Significant changes that require new materials or substantial rework may not be feasible once production is underway.

7. Repair and Maintenance Services

We offer repair and maintenance services for furniture we have created, as well as for other quality pieces. Services include refinishing, structural repairs, hardware replacement, and restoration. Contact us for an assessment and quote.

Regular maintenance can extend the life and beauty of your furniture. We provide care instructions with every piece and are available to answer questions about proper maintenance.

8. Claim Process

If you believe you have a valid warranty claim or need to report a defect, please contact us as soon as possible with the following information:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Order number and delivery date
  • Detailed description of the issue
  • Photographs clearly showing the defect or damage

We will review your claim and respond within five business days. If the claim is approved, we will arrange for inspection, repair, or replacement as appropriate.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a warranty claim or quality issue, please contact our management team. We are committed to resolving concerns fairly and professionally. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication.

If we cannot reach a mutually satisfactory resolution, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration as outlined in our Terms of Use.

10. Care Instructions

Proper care is essential to maintaining the beauty and integrity of your custom furniture. General care guidelines include:

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth
  • Clean spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and excessive moisture
  • Use coasters, placemats, and trivets to protect surfaces
  • Keep furniture away from direct heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight
  • Maintain consistent indoor humidity levels between 35-55%

Specific care instructions for your piece will be provided at delivery based on the materials and finishes used.

11. Environmental Considerations

Wood is a natural material that responds to environmental conditions. Minor expansion, contraction, or movement is normal and not considered a defect. Small cracks, gaps, or changes in wood appearance may occur with seasonal humidity changes.

To minimize movement, maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels in your home. Avoid placing furniture near heating vents, air conditioners, or in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations.
